Objectives:
- Understand the structure of Universal Design for Learning (UDL)
- Describe the three principles of UDL
- Reflect on the ways of integrating UDL into teaching
- Design personalized online learning materials and lesson plans
1. Understand UDL
- Use the official UDL guidelines poster version 2.2 developed by CAST (1 page) to understand UDL principles and guidelines.
- Study UDL guidelines with implementation ideas (2 pages) to get more ideas on how to implement UDL principles.
2. Design lesson plan with UDL
- Explore the examples (3 pages) to see how other teachers of different subjects implemented UDL in teaching.
- Use this UDL lesson plan template (2 pages) to have a quick evaluation of your existing teaching practice, reflect on learning barriers, and explore the solution using UDL.
